An unarmed Pakistani intruder was shot by the alert Border Security Force (BSF) jawans near Chilyari post along the International Border in Samba district of Jammu on Thursday. Following the firing incident, the BSF alerted all its border posts along the International Border to keep a close vigil on the suspected movement of intruders awaiting the first opportunity to sneak inside the Indian territory.
According to unconfirmed reports, the intruder killed in the Samba district may have been a local guide of a group of infiltrators and may have come closer to the barbed wire fence to check the alertness of BSF jawans in the area. According to highly placed sources, the intruder was shot dead only after he ignored initial warnings by the BSF jawans. A group of 3-4 people may have been following the intruder.
