literally putting stamp to Finance Minister Arun Jaitley’s statements that the CPI(M) was fast losing clout in Bengal, Bangla film actress and Draupadi of the Mahabharat of 1990s Rupa Ganguli on Wednesday joined the BJP at a party function attended amongst others by Jaitley himself. Ganguli who was known as a film personality with left leanings earlier was handed over the party flag on Wednesday even as she said
"I waited for many years to take this decision of joining the BJP," adding "I have been working among the people and now I think my holding the hand of BJP will help me in my endeavours in a bigger way."
