RTI activist OP Katariya on Monday filed a complaint with Gurgaon Police Commissioner Alok Mittal, seeking police protection from Haryana Sports Minister Sukhbir Kataria, who is also Gurgaon MlA, and his henchmen. The RTI activist had earlier found bogus 32,000 votes which were made with the involvement of Sukhbir Kataria.
It was based on Katariya’s complaint that the local court had his past month directed the police to register a First Information Report against the Minister and five others, including a police officer, in a case pertaining to 32,000 bogus votes. Another FIR was registered this past week in a similar case. Katariya said that the Minister and his henchmen could implicate him in a false case and demanded strict action against them.
