In a clever move away from its traditional rhetoric, the RSS has heaped all praises on BJPs PM candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi ahead of 2014 elections signalling unparalleled support to him. The day one of the on-going three-day crucial RSS meet in Bangalore has supported Modi and by praising him gave a boost to his leadership silencing his critiques within and outside the party.
Addressing the media on Friday after the inauguration of the Akhil Bharateeya Pratinidhi Sabha meeting in Bangalore, RSS joint general secretary Dattatreya Hosabale said, “Modi is a strong leader and we are proud he is a swayamsevak.” Hosabale by strongly supporting Modi sent a clear signal that Modi should be the undisputed leader of the BJP.
“Modi is a strong leader. He is a swayamsevak himself and we are proud of it. The country wants a change. He has proved his worth in Gujarat,” Dattatreya described Modi. RSS unlike its previous years did not harp on the contentious issue of Ram Mandir but sent a strong political message supporting Modi and his development model. This assumes significance ahead of elections appreciating Modi and his leadership silencing one and all.
