The RSS on Friday relieved its functionary Kundan Chandravat, who announced Rs1 crore bounty on Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s head, of all his responsibilities.
Earlier, Chandravat retracted his statement after it drew condemnation from various quarters including the Sangh. RSS had also disowned his views immediately after he expressed them at a meeting in Ujjain.
“Kundan who made controversial statement (on Kerala CM) at Ujjain protest, relieved of responsibilities in RSS,” said Senior RSS leader Dr MM Vaidya in his tweet.
RSS ‘Prant Sanghchalak’ Dr Prakash Shastri has been quoted by RSS from Indore saying that one individual’s view should not be taken as that of the RSS. The outfit said Chandravat’s controversial comment at Ujjain has created ‘confusion’ about the RSS
Chandravat, RSS Sah Prachar Pramukh in Ujjain, claimed he got some phone calls from Kerala threatening to kill him and was being targeted in social media.
