RSS-affiliate Swadeshi Jagaran Manch (SJM) will organize a protest here at Jantar Mantar on Tuesday to demand certain “pro-farmer” changes in the land Acquisition legislation. The SJM, which keeps articulating its contrasting views on a number of economic issues including Foreign Direct Investment, Intellectual Property Rights, Genetically Modified Field Trials and ‘Make it India’, has also raised objections with the Government on some of the clauses in the controversial land Bill. The Manch wants amendments in the Bill “to benefit poor, landless labourers, small farmers” and also seeks to ensure food security. Besides SJM, another Sangh outfit Kisan Majdoor Sangh has also sought a “pro-farmer” Bill in Parliament. Earlier it had expressed its reservations on the Factory Workers’ Bill.
