The birthday greetings sent by Tamil Nadu Governor K Rosaiah to Prime Minister Narendra Modi stood out in its content and style. "Your dynamic leadership, pragmatic approach and dedicated efforts have steered our nation's growth in all spheres. The people of our nation stand committed behind you in your mission to make India a Global leader. I wish you a long, happy and healthy life in your distinguished service to the people of this great nation", Rosaiah said in the birthday .greetings to Prime Minister Modi.
What made the message unique was the fact that Rosaiah is a steadfast Congress leader. He was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh during 2009 to 2011. He was also the former finance minister of Andhra Pradesh and has presented the state budget 16 times, including seven times in a row.
Party politics did not come in the way of Rosaiah while greeting Prime Minister Modi, the bête noir of the Congress. In last year's birth day greeting, Rosaiah had described Modi as India's pride in his last year's birthday greeting. "You are our nation's pride, a guiding spirit and a beacon of light. Your people-oriented development projects, dedication and commitment to serve the nation have made India all set to become a global leader. I wish you a long, happy and healthy life in your distinguished service to the people and the nation," Rosaiah has said in last year's message.
Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa to sent a touching birthday greeting to the Prime Minister on Thursday. "I pray that the Almighty may grant you many more years of good health and strength to serve our Nation," Jayalalithaa said in her message.
