The war of words between the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samiti and the Opposition Telugu Desam Party continued to rock the State Assembly yet another day as the firebrand TDP member A Revanth Reddy remained in the eye of the storm.
Revanth Reddy, who had created a ruckus by saying that Major Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao would make a better Chief Minister than his uncle K Chandrasekar Rao targeted one more member of the family K Taraka Rama Rao on Wednesday.
Alleging that KTR, a senior Minister and son of K Chandrasekhar Rao was involved in a breach of privilege of House, Revanth Reddy on Wednesday demanded an apology from him. "If he does not tender an apology today, I will give a breach of privilege motion against him tomorrow. If the Speaker does not take action against him, we will move a no trust motion against him", Revanth Reddy told the media outside the House.
He also targeted another Minister Ravinder Reddy alleging that he was disqualified for supporting the Congress candidate in the legislative council elections by accepting a bribe. "
The repeated clashes, attacks and counter-attacks created such a bedlam in the House that the Speaker Madhusudhana Chary had to adjourn the House thrice during the day.
"Wasn't it true that A Ravindra Reddy was disqualified for sharing his bribe with Harish Rao and not with Taraka Rama Rao", he asked. "Such a person is now talking to disqualifying others", he said.
Alleging that Taraka Rama Rao had insulted the people of Telangana by describing them as "Anglo-Indians", he demanded an apology.
Harish Rao made countering the attacks of Revanth Reddy said that he was making false and baseless statements. "Whoever makes such statements will face serious consequences", he said.
Charging Revanth Reddy with attempt to create a wedge between him and Chief Minister KCR, Harish Rao said, "He is not only my uncle but like a parent to me. The political career and the posts everything was give by him to me", he said.
Harish Rao objected to Revanth Reddy bringing in breach of privilege motion without giving a prior notice to the Speaker. He was responding to Revanth Reddy's statement that KCR had not done anything as the Chief Minister and Harish Rao could be a better Chief Minister as he was more dynamic and energetic. Revanth Reddy, who has become a constant source of pricking for the ruling TRS had said that Harish Rao was trying to set things right which had gone wrong during the last five months of TRS rule.
Revanth Reddy also made some unsavory references to the Nizamabad Member of Parliament and KCR's daughter K Kavita evoking strong protests from the TRS members. As the TRS and the TDP members demanding an apology from each other contained to stall the House, the Speaker adjourned the House for the day.
Earlier, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka strongly objected to the way both the TRS and TDP members were raising unnecessary issues and wasting the precious time of the House. "This House was formed on the foundations of sacrifices of hundreds of Telangana martyrs but the members of the two parties were wasting its time and not allowing the House to discuss the important issues of the people", he said.
