The BJP on Thursday indicated that re-induction of former Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa was being discussed but did not give a time frame for a decision. “Whenever a decision is taken, it will be made known,” said party spokesperson Prakash Javadekar.

He pointed out that several people and groups were keen to join the BJP, referring to former Haryana Minister Ramesh Kaushik joining the party earlier this week.A group of legislators from Karnataka have lobbied with party leaders for the return of Yeddyurappa, who left the BJP in December last year to head the Karnataka Janata Paksha. Though the KJP won only six seats in the Assembly polls, the BJP has acknowledged that it heavily damaged its chances of retaining power.
