I have asked the country for just 50 days. If after December 30, there are shortcomings in my work or there are mistakes or a bad intention found in my work, I will be prepared for the punishment that the country decides for me”. While, justifying the abolition of big notes, in a meeting held a Goa on 13th November 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said to the nation. In concluding day of Maha Nadu, on Tuesday, while passing a political resolution, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh and National President of TDP, Chandrababu Naidu, has questioned the administrative capabilities of Modi as Prime Minister. “But even now, after 500 days there is no money in ATMs. The farmers are not able to withdraw their own money for Agriculture while the poor and middle class are not able to find cash to celebrate the marriages of their children. It is unfortunate that 130 people have died by committing suicides due to the abolition of big notes”, he pointed out. “Without proper plan and preparedness by the Country and common people, the decision taken by Modi to abolish Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes while introducing Rs 2000 note has only made a mockery of the scheme. It has only helped in increasing black money. The implementation of the scheme has been full of blunders”, he slammed the Prime Minister. “Center’s failures have turned as Difficulties for common people. Telugu Desam Party is demanding abolition of big currency notes with a view to control black money”, he said. “It is a shame that the GOI has been advising youth to sell Pakodis stating that it is also a Self Employment”, he objected.

The political resolution of TDP has clearly indicated the future role of the party and Naidu in National politics.

While drawing  political vision on 2019, “Regional parties are going to form Government in 2019. The dictatorial attitude of the GOI led by Modi, unilateral and anti people decisions of GOI, misuse of central intelligence agencies and regulatory agencies to suppress the political opponents have become a matter of grave concern in the India Polity. On the occasion of swearing in ceremony of Kumarasamy as CM, many important leaders of various political parties have assembled in Bangalore as a token of solidarity of Regional political parties. Chandrababu Naidu was a tall leader in this meet and it was a clear indication that regional political parties are going to be a power to reckon with in the 2019 elections as an alternative to the National parties to form a government in Delhi. This Mahanadu appeals to use all his skills and political shrewdness to re-establish democratic norms redefine State, Centre relations and prevent the feudal attitude of GOI. The Telugu Desam Party has been a source of co-operative federalism in the country’s political arena. It has fought earlier for protection of democratic rights and ethical values. TDP is a party which supports weaker sections and a forum for protecting the interest of all Telugus in the country. This Mahanadu wishes that TDP will worth for political re alignment, protection in the rights of the states, clean politics and balanced growth of the country”, the resolution said.

The resolution said, “BJP Government has destroyed various constitutional institutions.  The BJP Government has become adept in misusing the constitutional systems. The institution of Governor has been misuse in Manipur, Meghalaya and Goa to form BJP Governments though they didn’t have majority. Interference in Tamilnadu’s administration and misuse of various institutions like CBI, ED ID departments against political opponents is a matter of concern. The autonomy of institutions like Election Commission, RBI etc. is under threat. under the BJP Role. Not under taking the No-Confidence motion in the Parliament despite fulfilling the requirements is a black spot on the conduct of Parliament. The BJP Government has also dragged Speakers institution in to controversy in the process”.

“Dictatorial trends and functioning of Modi and Amith Sha has been found to be quite different from the leaders like the then Prime Minister Vajpai. AB Vajpai has resigned from Prime Ministership for the sake of one Vote standing on the principles and values. On the other hand the present political supremos have been resorting to manipulation even in cases where they have very few MlAs to form BJP governments. The recent case of Karnataka is an example in this regard. Thanks to the strict intervention of Supreme court the democracy as survived in Karnataka”, the resolution observed.

Further, the resolution said, “Feudal attitudes of Central Government, There are occasions of different parties in the centre and the states. Whenever, a particular party is in power in centre, that party has been showing big brotherly attitude and states with a different party in power were getting a raw deal in release of funds etc. The release of funds to the states has become wide subjective and at the discretion of the Government of India as per their whims and fancies.  The recent discriminatory conduct of GOI against the southern states has become controversial. Therefore, under these circumstances appropriate that the subjects which are not required to be vested with Central Government may be transferred to the states”.
