Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the ruling BJP, Shiv Sena (UBT) president Uddhav Thackeray said on Tuesday that the Lord Shri Ram was not a personal property of an individual or a political party and if “some people are thinking like that, we will have to say `BJP-mukht Jai Shriram”.
Kick-starting his party’s campaign for the Lok Sabha polls at a state party convention at Nashik in north Maharashtra a day after the am temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, Uddhav demanded to know as to how it could call itself a party of “Ram bakths”, given that it did not have a single quality of Lord Shri Ram and that it had “failed” to keep the promises it had made to his party.
