Ram Madhav takes on Hurriyat leaders appealing tourists to visit Valley

Mocking at the ‘absolute hypocrisy’ displayed by the Hurriyat leaders while appealing to tourists to visit the Kashmir valley, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav on Wednesday said the Hurriyat leaders are the biggest hurdles in restoring peace and normalcy in the State.

Madhav said, “If Hurriyat leaders want peace in Kashmir valley they must stop issuing hartal calenders. If they want tourists to visit the Kashmir valley they must eradicate terrorism”. He said it is very unfortunate that on one hand they enforce shutdowns and close down schools and and on the other hand they are doing this ‘drama’.

Reacting to the appeal issued by the Hurriyat leaders to invite tourists, Ram Madhav said the Hurriyat leaders intended to talk about terrorists instead of tourists.

“I think it was a spelling mistake. The Hurriyat leaders wanted to say terrorists but mentioned tourists instead. He said they are the biggest hurdles in restoring peace and normalcy in the State.

Senior Congress leader RS Chib in Jammu also condemned the statement issued by Hurriyat leaders. “This appeal is nothing but laughable. They were the ones who came out with a protest calendar and instigated unrest, and now they are asking tourists to visit the Valley.”

Chib, also hit out at the separatists, and said that they were “agents of Pakistan.” “They have lost their face before people of Kashmir who suffered because of them and that is why now such statements are being issued,” he added.
