The day political Tamil Nadu is waiting for is hardly weeks away, according to Tamilaruvi Manian, the State’s leading political commentator. “Yes, superstar Rajnikanth will announce the formation of his political outfit soon. The time has come the formal announcement and Rajnikanth himself would decide when to make the declaration about the formal launch of his party,” Manian told The Pioneer on Friday.
Tamil Nadu is undergoing a political churning with uncertainty written all over the State, said Manian, a former Congress leader with five decades experience. It is widely believed that Manian is the counsellor of the superstar though the former stoutly denies such descriptions.
“ I am a good friend and well wisher of Rajnikanth, whom I rate as the best human being among all our celebrities,” said Manian.
Rajnikanth is meeting his long time fans from various districts in Tamil Nadu during the last week of December. Sources close to Rajnikanth has been quoted by the Tail media as telling that the meeting is for photo sessions with those fans who could not make it to Chennai during the last two sessions. “Rajnikanth will discuss the general political situation in the State with his friends and well-wishers during the meeting and it is expected that he would take some of the important decisions after these meetings,” said Manian.
Manian disclosed that Rajnikanth was already into politics. “He has to declare the name of the party and the party programme. The outfit has activists operating in all the 234 Assembly constituencies of Tamil Nadu,” he said. Manian also revealed that the road map and action plan for the social and economic development of Tamil Nadu has been finalised by Rajnikanth in consultation with his advisors and close friends. “I assure you that Rajnikanth will bring in the much needed honesty, transparency and simplicity back to Tamil Nadu. These were the qualities for which leaders like Rajagopalachari and Kamaraj stood throughout their life. Rajnikanth is going to emulate their teachings and ideologies,” he said.
Rajnikanth has almost completed his film shooting commitments. “You will see him campaigning for the next Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu which is expected anytime from now on. The State politics is in for a refreshing change.
The delay in launching the political outfit was unavoidable as he was steadfast in his decision that he would approach the people only with a fool-proof and inspiring blue print for the development of Tamil Nadu,” said Manian.
