Home Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake a five-day visit to China beginning November 19. Singh is expected to discuss issues like incursion along the border and smuggling of Chinese arms for militants in the Northeast with his counterparts.
Singh will interact with top Chinese leadership in Beijing in the first three days of his trip. Singh will also spend two days in Shanghai where he is expected to meet business leaders of China.
There have been several incidents of incursion in Indian territory by Chinese troops in recent past. Most of these incidents took place in ladakh sector. India shares 3,488 km of border with China that runs along Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.
The Home Minister is likely to ask the Chinese leadership to check smuggling of arms into the Northeast insurgent groups, most of which have bases along the porous Sino-Myanmar border, said officials.
