BJP president Rajnath Singh is expected to lay out his party's position on Afghanistan for the benefit of an American audience of lawmakers and policy wonks when he visits the United States later this month.

The Washington-based Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS) announced that Singh would be delivering a keynote address on "India, Afghanistan and Regional Stability" at its conference on Afghanistan to be held on Capitol Hill on July 23.

"The conference aims engage communities to discuss factors affecting security, stability and prosperity in Afghanistan and the surrounding region. The sessions will focus on critical dimensions of a balanced and unified strategy that can lead to Afghanistan's stable and secure development," FIIDS said.

Former Foreign Secretary Kanwal Sibal and former Intelligence Bureau director Ajit Doval are among the other listed speakers.
