BJP president Rajnath Singh will lead party’s anti-Government agitation and would court arrest under Jail Bharo Andolan on June 26.
Party spokesman Manoj Mishra said that Rajnath Singh would arrive on June 26 and along with senior party leader Kalraj Mishra, party’s State president laxmikant Bajpai, and local MP lalji Tandon had announced for court arrest. The BJP is organising Jail Bharo Andolan to protest against the deteriorating law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh as well as highlighting lack of development in the State.
“Thousands of party workers would court arrest along with these senior leaders,” Mishra said in a statement issued here on Sunday.He said before the national party president takes part in agitation, he would be given a rousing welcome at the airport.
This would be first official visit of Rajnath Singh as party president after his elevation to this coveted post for the second time.
