BJP President Rajnath Singh Tuesday revoked the suspension of five BJP MlAs in Jammu and Kashmir paving the way for the party cadre to relaunch party's campaign against the poor performance of  the National Conference-Congress alliance Government in the State.

Seven out of  11  party MlA's were earlier suspended from the party in April 2011 following allegations of cross voting against them in the legislative council polls. The suspension of five MlA's was revoked by the party's Parliamentary board  on the recommendations of the central disciplinary committee  of the party.

According to spokesman of the State party unit, "five party MlA's  namely Baldev Raj, Durga Das, Master lal Chand, Prof Gharu Ram and Bharat Bhushan  had shot off separate letters to the party President Rajnath Singh expressing their 'unconditional' desire to resume work for the party and demanded that their suspension be revoked."

The spokesman said, the party President has finally acceded to their request and the decision to revoke their suspension has been conveyed to the party MlA's by the National General Secretary JP Nadda.

Following revocation of the suspension of  party MlAs' the state unit of the BJP may be able to consolidate its lost grip over traditional vote bank and give tough competition to the political rivals in the coming lok Sabha and Assembly polls.
