Rajnath promises manifesto for every lS constituency

Taking a cue from the Aam Aadmi Party, which came out with Assembly constituency-specific election manifesto during the Delhi Assembly elections, the BJP on Sunday has directed its leaders to prepare a seperate manifesto for every parliamentary constituency for the coming lok Sabha polls.

“We have formed a committee that will prepare the election manifesto at the national level. But I would like the party to also take an effort and prepare an election manifesto locally, for every parliamentary constituency, in each State. This will help us connect with the people and address their problems locally,” the BJP president Rajnath Singh said at the party’s national council meeting in Ramlila Ground here.

Singh also took a dig at the Congress for not declaring their prime ministerial candidate and said when the “general” has accepted the defeat one can easily understand the morale of the Army he is leading. Singh also cautioned voters not vote for any non-BJP or non-NDA party as it would mean “directly or indirectly” supporting the Congress and its alliance partners.
