A high-level dinner meeting was today held at Home Minister Rajnath Singh's house which was attended by Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, NSA Ajit Doval and senior RSS leaders.
There was no official word on the nearly two-hour long meeting which came against the backdrop of the raging 'One Rank One Pension' (OROP) row, Indo-Pak border tensions and talks between the BSF and the Pakistan Rangers due early next month. Meanwhile, Col. Pushpender Singh (retd), who was hospitalised after fasting for nine days over non-implementation of the 'One Rank One Pension' (OROP), stabilised on Tuesday but the health of two other veterans deteriorated. The health of retired havildars Major Singh and Ashok Chauhan worsened on Tuesday.
