Former UP Minister Raghuraj Pratap Singh, aka Raja Bhaiya, is likely to undergo polygraph test in connection with the killing of Deputy SP Zia-ul-Haq in Pratapgarh.
Singh reportedly consented to the process to prove his innocence. A Special CBI court, which took up the matter in lucknow on Tuesday, reserved its judgement after the completion of the hearing on a CBI plea for a polygraph test on the former Minister.
An Independent MlA from Kunda (Pratapgarh), Singh appeared in person before the court of Special Judge, Zeenat Mirza in lucknow on Tuesday afternoon. He said that he had no objection over the test and stressed that he had nothing to do with the crime. The former Minister had earlier submitted a written undertaking in the court pleading innocence.
After hearing the pleas of both parties, the Judge reserved her judgement which will be pronounced soon.
