Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president and Punjab Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Badal on Tuesday lashed out at “Congress yuvraj” Rahul Gandhi for claiming that the mindset of the poor was responsible for their present plight.
“The statement itself is a reflection of the mind set of Rahul baba who is yet to understand India and its people,” said Sukhbir in an official statement. He said: “The underprivileged section of society also has aspirations and want to progress in life. It is surprising that Rahul do not understand this sentiment and is not aware that it was the Gandhi family which trapped the nation in a vicious circle of poverty, corruption and economic uncertainty.”
launching a frontal attack on Nehru-Gandhi family for looting natural resources and hard-earned money of tax payers through various scams, Sukhbir described the Gandhi family as the “fountainhead of all scams”.
“The country is still facing poverty because of corrupt practices followed by Congress party since independence. This family has perfected the art of looting the treasury of nation right from Nehru era, pushing scam money to foreign banks and then getting a clean chit through Congress Bureau of Investigation —the CBI,” he added.
