BJP president Rajnath Singh too addressed his first election rally in Bihar on Thursday and attacked Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi for lacking political understanding. He also targeted the Congress leaders saying that they ‘speak without doing their homework’.

“The Congress leaders speak without doing their homework….Rahul Gandhi lacks proper political understanding”, charged Rajnath Singh while addressing poll rally at Aurangabad from where the BJP has fielded Sushil Singh as the party candidate. Shushil Singh had recently quit the JD(U) to join the BJP.

“What Rahul Gandhi had said here — about the water reservoir project on River Koel and Hariyahi Dam and providing irrigation facilities to farmers — has remained incomplete even after several years due to the negligence of the State Government but the fact is that both these projects are of Central Government and only they are responsible for the slow progress of the projects”, said Singh while addressing the crowd in Bhojpuri.

He also reminded people how the Pakistan Army had beheaded two Indian soldiers recently at the border and the UPA Government at the Centre had failed to provide protection to soldiers.

“UPA sarkar bhartiya sainiko ko protection dene mein puri tarah se fail hai”, he charged. Taking a dig at the UPA government Rajnath Singh further said that when the NDA government was ion power it had created over 6.7 crore jobs but during the UPA regime from 2004 to 2010 merely 27 lakh jobs created.

The BJP president also addressed a poll rally at Jamui along with lJP president Ram Vilas Paswan and senior state BJP leader Shushil Kumar Modi. Chirag Paswan, son of Ram Vilas Paswan is alliance candidate of BJP-lJP from Jamui against Uday Narain Chaudhury, state assembly Speaker, of JD-U. Sudhanshu Shekhar Bahskar is RJD candidate on the seat.

Jamui is a Maoist-affected area where Maoists have already given poll boycott call. Earlier, a ruling party JD-U leader and RJD chief lalu Prasad had accused Uday Narain Chaudhury for having links with Maoists which he strongly refuted.
