RaGa, Akhilesh to rollout 10-point minimum programme

After going in for “alliance” at the last moment, Rahul Gandhi and Akhilesh Yadav, the youth scions of the Congress and the Samajwadi Party respectively, will now finally rollout 10-point Common Minimum Programme (CMP) on Saturday. Interestingly, both the Parties are already out with the alliance manifesto and now when the people are voting in 73 constituencies in the first phase in western Uttar Pradesh on Saturday, Congress-SP will announce their CMP, which will be implemented if the alliance comes to power.

“Rahul will be coming to lucknow to announce the 10-point CMP, along with Akhilesh Yadav,  on Saturday morning at 10 am”, revealed senior Congress leader, Rajeev Shukla.

Addressing a Press conference, along with former Union Minister Shree Prakash Jaiswal on Friday afternoon, Shukla claimed that the proposed joint roadshow of Rahul and Akhilesh on Friday has been postponed as they failed to get permission.

However, he said the roadshow will be organised within a week. “It will be joint responsibility of both the Congress and the SP to implement the CMP,” added Jaiswal.
