Soon after taking charge as the Minister of State for Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), P Radhakrishnan on Monday met some of the senior officials in the two Ministries.
“I would like to work in close solidarity with the Minister (Nitin Gadkari) in solving the host of issues ailing the roads and highways sector,” said Radhakrishnan.
“It is an uphill task to bring the sector on track but dedication and focus and right decisions will help us take the mission forward,” he said.
Just before taking over office, Radhakrishnan also attended the signing of MoU between ministries of roads and highways and railways to facilitate speedy construction of rail over bridges and rail under bridges at rail crossings on national highways. He said that he was happy to be part of team that was “Driving India to a better tomorrow.”
