Punjab Youth Congress has decided to organise Statewide protests demanding immediate removal of Revenue Minister and Youth Akali Dal president Bikram Majithia from the State cabinet for his alleged role in multi-crore drug racket.
lambasting the Parkash Singh Badal Government, the state youth Congress president Vikram Chaudhary said that sacking Jail Minister Sarwan Phillaur “is not enough till the time big fish (Majithia) is roaming scott-free whose name was revealed by Jagdish Bhola”. PYC chief asked the state government to either sack Majithia in a week or the party would hold massive protests in all 13 parliamentary constituencies of the state following gherao of Punjab legislative assembly if the government fails to take efficient and concrete steps to effectively tackle this serious problem plaguing Punjab.
