Minal Rathod, wife of one of the 31 convicts of Naroda Patiya massacre case, has approached Gujarat High Court appealing to take back her husband back in jail.

Her husband Kalu Rathod was released on temporary bail on September 27 last year on the ground of children’s ill health for a week. However till date he has not surrendered.

The court rejected the petition, saying that it is up to the concerned authority to take action against him. In her plea, Minal said that she was often beaten by her husband.

Kalu was convicted in 2012 in connection with Naroda Patiya incident post Godhra train carnage riots of Gujarat in 2002 in which 97 killed.
