In a development that came two days after the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) cancelled the IAS Probationary Officer candidature of Puja Khedkar, a Pune court on Friday granted bail to her mother Manorama Dilip Khedkar against a personal Rs 50,000 in a criminal in a criminal intimidation case.
Fifteen days after she was arrested by the Pune rural police for allegedly threatening some farmers at gunpoint to grab their land, Judge Ajit N. Mare imposed several conditions while granting a bail to her.
Among the conditions imposed on her, she will not to contact or influence the complainants/witnesses, go away from the jurisdiction of the Paud Police Station till the investigations are on, not leave Pune district and cooperate with the police and other agencies.
Manorama --- who had absconded for nearly a week after a video showing her threatening farmers at Mulshi in a bid to usurp their land went viral – was traced to to a small lodge Parvati Niwas near Mahad town in Raigad district where the visiting Pune rural police arrested on July 18.
