District Administration, Jammu on Wednesday ordered detention of Yasir Alfaz a resident of Rio Village in District Doda under Public Safety Act (PSA), 1978, in connection with his involvement in the sacrilegious act at Aap Shamboo Temple in Janipur on June 14. Yasir had vandalised the idols inside the temple after which his video had gone viral. Initially senior police officers including DGP K Rajendra had claimed Yasir is lunatic but under pressure from the angry people the State Government had set up a medical board to ascertain his mental status. After receiving the report from the medical board the district administration slapped PSA against him.
