Top Congress leaders and State observers who visit Goa for the party’s organisational chores are in league with an arrested dance bar operator and pimp operating in the State, a top BJP official claimed on Friday.
Addressing a Press conference at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) headquarters in Panaji, State president Vinay Tendulkar said that Rajendra Prasad Ghanta, a pimp who was arrested by the police for organising a mujra party for a Samajwadi Party MlA earlier this week used to provide “all sorts of comforts” for Central Congress leaders during their visits here.
“We want the police to probe all the Central Congress leaders who have been coming to Goa as observers and for other party related work,” Tendulkar said.
Ghanta was one of the six persons arrested earlier this week after police busted a dance bar, where an SP MlA and other party officials were watching a mujra. Six women, who police said were ‘escorts’ and were dancing at the party, were also rescued during the raid. The women, police said had been arranged by Ghanta.
