During his visit to Gujarat on the birthday of Prime Minster Narendra Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping will sign an MoU to develop 10 sq km industrial park in Sanand, on the outskirts of Ahmedabad. The upcoming industrial part at Sanand, where Tata Motors have already commissioned the world’s cheapest car, Nano’s production facility is expected to attract investments in excess of $1 billion, said sources in Gujarat’s Industry Department. The proposed park would be focused on manufacturing of power transmission and power generation equipments.
Sources said that the integrated industrial park would be a smart city having all sorts of facilities ranging from residences, recreational centre, hotels, schools, restaurants, banks and sports complexes.
