President Pranab Mukherjee on Friday launched the CRPF anthem as part of the Diamond Jubilee Year celebrations of the paramilitary force and exhorted the personnel to enforce the law of the land in its true spirit.
While lauding the illustrious history of the paramilitary, the President also advised that more steps needed to be taken to develop the capacity to deliver dividends and make the force more effective.
"...More needs to be done. Ground-level tactics have to be made more innovative by the adoption of state-of-the-art planning strategies. To give confidence to the troops, they have to be equipped with modern gadgetry and weaponry. To develop their morale further, the welfare issues have to be addressed promptly," he said.
The CRPF song has been composed by noted lyricist Javed Akhtar and sung by singer Javed Ali.
