Senior NCP leader Praful Patel said on Monday that his party’s image suffered maximum dent because of the Congress when two parties ruled Maharashtra for three terms till October 2014.
launching a vicious attack against its erstwhile ruling alliance partner - the Congress, Patel said at a party workers’ rally at Akola in eastern Maharashtram, “The Congress not only sank, but it took our party with it to the depths of defeat(in the 2014 polls) in the State. If anything, the Congress eroded the NCP’s image to the maximum”.
Patel charged that former chief minister Prithviraj Chavan of the Congress attempted consistently to defame the NCP leaders by implicating them in scams after scams.
