The Vijay Rupani Government on Tuesday granted three months extension to in-charge DGP Prithvipal P Pandey better known as PP Pandey.
Pandey was to retire on January 31, 2017 but with the extension he will continue to be the top cop of Gujarat till April 30, 2017.
This is perhaps for the first time ever in Gujarat that an in-charge DGP has given an extension of three months.
Pandey has been currently working as director of Anti-corruption bureau.
