Powder found in UP Assembly not explosive, says FSl lucknow

Published on:

With sleuths of National Investigation Agency (NIA) yet to make any headway into the recovery of alleged ‘PETN’ from the UP Assembly, a report of Forensic Science laboratory of lucknow has now cleared that the powder was not an ‘explosive’. Sources said the detailed report of FSl lucknow has confirmed that the recovered powder was neither PETN nor any other explosive.

Sources said that now the Government was likely to take action against FSl Director Shyam Bihari Upadhya to save the Government from blushes. The Technical department of the UP Police has recommended action in this regard.

The Government has been tight-lipped over the final findings and claimed that they were waiting for a report from CFSl Hyderabad.

The powder might be a substance used for cleaning but so far Assembly officials have denied it making the NIA to get to the bottom of the entire fisaco.
