In a special demolition drive that will be conducted every Saturday, North Delhi Municipal Corporation has decided to conduct a random check in all areas under the corporation to stop encroachment sites in the view of risk from earthquakes. The MCD officials will go on a surprise visit for detection of unauthorized constructions so that action can be taken at the ongoing stage and no such construction be allowed to come up. While the drive conducted by NDMC usually consists of a proper packed team of Municipality officials and an inspecting team, this special drive will be nothing less than shocker for any unknown and unauthorized construction shall lead to immediate demolition of the building.
