A woman, posed as a doctor, entered the Rao Tula Ram hospital in Jaffarpur Kalan and kidnapped a three-day-old male infant on Friday afternoon. The police have registered a case and extensive search has begun to find the child. The baby boy was delivered three days back. On Friday afternoon, a woman disguised herself as a doctor, entered a ward. She told her mother that the child had to be taken for checkup and took the baby with her. later when she did not return, the parents panicked and asked the doctor where the child was. They were informed the child was not taken by any doctor. The police was informed and a case has been registered. Further investigations are underway.
Dr Sanjay Jain, medical superintendent of the hospital, said, “The child was born on December 23 and the mother was shifted to the ward. Incident took place at 12.30 pm. An internal enquiry has been set up to look at the security lapse and any other deficiency.”
