A portal “www.modistory.in”  was launched on Saturday to bring together “inspiring” stories related to Prime Minister Narendra Modi from those who have interacted with him during his life journey over several decades.

A number of associates, not necessarily well-known, have shared episodes they were witness to in Prime Minister’s past political and personal life.

The portal—Modi Story — was inaugurated by Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni, granddaughter of Mahatma Gandhi. The portal is  a volunteer driven initiative to bring together inspiring moments from Narendra Modi’s life, as narrated by his co-travellers.

"This young man used to visit us in Delhi and stayed with us every now and then and we became good friends and this continued till today," Sumitra Gandhi Kulkarni said.

Dancer Sonal Mansingh too has also shared  her experience with the Prime Minister.

Some have shared their early experiences of Modi’s  work for the country as he travelled far and wide for the party work.

The portal  shares stories, experiences and anecdotes from the likes of BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia from Punjab, a state Modi handled in the early days of his political journey as a party office-bearer, Rasbihari Maniyar, his school principal at Vadnagar in Gujarat, and Sharda Prajapati, in whose house the future prime minister often stayed in.

It also details her journey in a disguise as a 'Sardar' during the emergency.

Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra and ace shuttler Pullela Gopichand are also among those who have shared their experiences and time  with the prime minister.

In a video, Narendra Modi's school teacher Rasbihari Maniyar said  Modi in his childhood wanted to join a Sainik school.

Commenting on the portal Union Minister  Smiriti Irani tweeted "Stories of grit & grace … memories of the magic of personal meetings, talks that reflect an amiable persona, a decisive political personality…stories till now untold, unheard".

The portal has invited more people to contribute to 'Modi Story' and enrich the reminisces on the Prime Minister.

Anyone can contribute to 'Modi Story' portal.
