A police officer was martyred while two cops were injured after 'unidentified' terrorists targeted three policemen in the Lal Bazar area in Srinagar from a close range late on Tuesday evening
Initially, three policemen were rushed to the nearest hospital and the entire area was cordoned off to track down the footprints of the terrorists behind the attack.
According to a Kashmir zone police tweet, "Assistant Sub Inspector identified as Mushtaq Ahmad succumbed to his injuries while two other policemen were undergoing treatment in the hospital".
Terrorists active in Srinagar possibly carried out the attack, sources said.
