Police resorted to mild lathi charge on the workers of loktantrik Janata Dal (lJD) on Monday when they under party president Sharad Yadav took out a procession to oppose the rising prices of petrol and other issues. Sharad and other leaders of the party including Ramai Ram rode a bullock cart to proceed the Raj Bhavan.

The workers clashed with the police when they were tried to be stopped before reaching the Raj Bhavan. A few of them were hurt and seen taken away.

Sharad said there were many issues like unemployment and price rise, GST and demonetisation but the

“Akrosh March” was being organised to protest the ever increasing prices of petroleum products. However when the procession started from Kargil Chowk, Sharad was not there and he joined it near a posh hotel where he was sitting inside his air-conditioned car.
