All officers and staff of the Prime Minister’s Office have voluntarily contributed their one day’s salary to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund for the flood-affected people of Jammu & Kashmir.
The gesture is to express their solidarity with the flood-affected people of J&K, a PMO statement said. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Wednesday directed officials to provide total support to the State Government to enable it step-up rescue and relief operations and had stressed on the need to reach essential commodities to those affected in Jammu & Kashmir.
