PM presides over Council of Ministers' meet

PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday presided over a meeting of his council of ministers, primarily to review the functioning of key ministries like finance, commerce and communications as a prelude to completion of two years of his government in office. "It was a meeting basically to review key developmental works," a source in the government told IANS. "It was not stock taking per se, but some major key projects were reviewed," the source said. The Modi government, which was sworn in on May 26, 2014, will complete two years in office on May 26. At the meeting, the prime minister asked his ministerial colleagues to take the achievements to people through social media and was reportedly "not very pleased" with few ministers for not being net savvy personally and not able to aggressively use digital platforms to project their respective ministry's functioning.
