Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that today in the manner the entire world is giving respect to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, it has made every Indian proud. Addressing a public meeting at Jagatpur Inter College grounds here on Monday to highlight the nine years of Modi government at the Centre, he said that in the manner Modi was welcomed by American President and respected in the US Parliament, it just showed how the image of the country has created on the world stage by the PM.
“Today wherever Modi visited, the country honoured him with its highest award, citing the example of Egypt which has changed the country’s image and status across the world during the last nine years leadership of the PM,” he said, expressing his full confidence about thumping win of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2024 parliamentary elections.
“As Modi is the representative of Kashi, the people of the city should be more proud than how during the nine years, Banaras has emerged as a model of development,” said the CM.
Yogi further said that during the corona pandemic period when the entire world was facing a serious crisis, India used it as an opportunity to show its humanitarian face by supporting several nations by providing them vaccines and other necessary materials. “Both India and Pakistan got their independence in 1947, but today in India 80 crore people are getting free ration while our neighbouring nation is fighting for every Roti (bread),” he said, adding that not only this, today we moved ahead in our economy pushing back a country (UK) which had ruled us for centuries. “It just showed our strength which we had gained during the last nine years under the leadership of Modi,” he said.
Launching a scathing attack on the opposition, he said that several of those parties which came into existence to oppose the Congress are not hesitating today in joining hands with it in view to fight against the BJP but the lotus would bloom again in 2024, said the CM confidently. “The reason of Modi’s popularity is his service, good governance and effective decision that led the nation to a new height today,” said Yogi, adding that recently when G-20 conference was held in Varanasi, the delegates were overwhelmed to see the grandeur of Ganga-aarti and beauty of this holy city.
The function was organised by the BJP as a part of its month-long campaign to celebrate the successful nine years of Modi government.
