There was lull for a while after the combing operation by security personnel against the People’s liberation Front of India (PlFI), the breakaway group of Maoists, intensified, but again the rebels have made their presence felt recently by spreading terror in the Odisha-Jharkhand border areas.
According to sources, about 15 to 20 PlFI members reached Jaykudar village under Raibaga police station and terrorised the villagers on Saturday night before torching the house of one Rajendra luhar. The rebels alleged that Rajendra was collecting levy from different businessmen and individuals in the name of the PlFI. Fortunately, Rajendra and his family members were absent at the time of the attack on their house by the Naxalites.
