Members of the People’s liberation Front of India (PlFI), a breakaway group of Maoists, made their presence felt again in the Odisha-Jharkhand border area killing three persons at Biramitrapur on Tuesday.
The three persons were found dead with their throats slit. The deceased were identified as the villagers of Maha buanga under the Bano police station in the neighbouring Simdega district in Jharkhand. The incident has led to a reign of terror in the area.
The police recovered a hand note near the dead bodies. The PlFI members called the villagers out of their houses and killed them at Biramitrapur on the instruction of their zonal commander Jayram Gop. The villagers were murdered for betraying the organisation, the hand note read.
