Swapna Suresh, the controversial woman behind the rise and fall of Shivsankar, former principal secretary to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, fired yet another salvo on Thursday against the LDF Government in the State.
“Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is out to finish me off. It was at his order the Crime Branch team of Kerala Police summoned me for another round of questioning on Tuesday. More than questioning, the police team was threatening me,” said Swapna Suresh, the prime accused in the “gold smuggling through diplomatic channel” scam that shook Kerala politics during 2020 and 2021.
She said that the officers of the Crime Branch warned her not to open her mouth against the chief minister or his close family members. “If you speak out against the Chief Minister, we will slap criminal charges against you that you are the person behind more than 700 riots the State saw during the last two years.
That will be the end of your freedom and the rest of your life you will be behind bars,” Swapna Suresh quoted the officers as telling. They also asked her to had over whatever evidences she had against the business dealings of Veena, daughter of Vijayan and the new wife of PWD Minister Mohammed Riyaz.
Swapna Suresh, the former liaison executive of the UAE consulate at Thiruvananthapuram, also said that the chief minister was making life difficult for her. “I lost my job with the HRDS, Wayanad because the chief minister’s men were pressurizing the employers to send me out of the organization. It was with a heavy heart that they terminated my job with the NGO.
Pinarayi Vijayan is the person behind this operation. I have ended up as an unemployed person and my family consisting of my two children and mother are facing uncertainty,” she said.
What was shocking is her disclosure that the crime branch team insisted that she should pass over the word by word transcription of the statement she made to the Judicial Magistrate under section 164 of the Cr PC and the demand that she should not hire the services of Krishna Raj of Kerala High Court as her lawyer.
Krishna Raj is already an eye sore of the CPI-M and the chief minister because of the litigations he has filed to get the temples in the State liberated from the shackles of the Government.
The lady said that she would not rest till she exposes all the misdeeds of the CPI-M Government in Kerala, which had exploited her for years to get their illegal activities done.
