People fed up with Modi's Mann ki baat: Akhilesh

The ongoing slanging match continued between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav on Thursday, with the latter questioning the PM’s ‘Maan ki baat’ and advising him to listen to people’s complaint and do something useful for them.

“Every month Modiji speaks his ‘Mann ki baat’. People are fed up with it. He should now say something which he can translate into action. People want development but our PM is busy in giving lectures,” Yadav said while addressing an election rally in Mainpuri on Thursday.

In a point to point rebuttal to PM’s questions, Yadav said in his speech Modi ji had said that I was inexperienced and entered into an alliance in haste.

“I want to tell Modi ji that one who is afraid of falling, can not learn cycling. Water enters your eyes and mouth when one learns swimming. Unless you take the risk, you cannot progress,” he said.

“This alliance is of two youths, who are full of ideas and are willing to change the fortune of Uttar Pradesh. People have accepted this alliance and it will win not less than 300 seats,” he asserted.

He added, “There is a wave in favour of the SP and Congress and this Rs anndhi’ has increased the blood pressure of the Prime Minister.”

Taking a dig on ‘achhe din’, Yadav said that during lok Sabha elections Modi promised that he would ensure ‘achche din’ which is still being awaited by the people. “Instead of achchhe din, Modi ji made everyone to stand in line in front of banks and ATMs. People are again standing in line and this time they are angry and want to teach Modi ji a lesson,” the CM said.

Yadav said that communal forces are eyeing power in UP. “But its march has been stopped by the alliance of Samajwadi Party (SP) and Congress. The bicycle itself was going fast but after the support of ‘hand’ its pace has doubled,” he said

The Chief Minister said that despite UP having paved the way for Modi to form government by ensuring the victory of 73 seats in lok Sabha, people are now asking what these MPs have done for their native plkace.

“Can any MP say what he has done for his constituency. Ask me and I will tell what my government has done here,” Yadav said.

The CM said that the SP government has carried out development without any discrimination. He said that UP government has provided 400 acres of land to Yoga guru Baba Ramdev for food processing unit which will create more job opportunities for youth.

Realising that people’s sentiments were attached with Mulayam Singh Yadav, Akhilesh said that the SP belongs to Mulayam Singh Yadav. “He is patron of the party. When SP-Congress alliance will form government after March 11, Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) would be the happiest man,” Yadav stressed.
