Maintaining silence on the charges of corruption made against his senior party colleague and former PWD Minister Chhagan Bhujbal, NCP president Sharad Pawar said on Wednesday that he would speak on the issue “at an appropriate time”.
A day after the State ACB raided 17 properties of Bhujbal and his family members across the State, Pawar said: “The investigations are on. On Tuesday, the ACB carried out searches at various places.
Even on Wednesday, the authorities are continuing investigations. That being the case, I do not want to speak on the issue at the moment. If I speak now, someone will come and say that I am putting on pressure on the investigators. I do not want such an allegation made against him. That’s why I have decided to speak on the issue at an appropriate time”.
