A partial bandh was observed in Karnataka. According to police sources, barring stray incidents of stone pelting at some places, the strike ended peacefully in the State.
In Bengaluru, the Government offices, including Vidhana Soudha, the State Secretariat and some offices in the central part of Bengaluru wore a deserted look due to thin attendance triggered by the lack of transport. Private buses and other transport vehicles were allowed to ply in the inter-State and city bus stands to ferry the stranded public. A couple of airport buses were seen plying on the streets. However, many IT companies worked with full attendance.
