The mysterious case of Jiah Khan’s death has been going through several twists ever since she was found dead in her Juhu apartment in June 2013. The CBI had on Wednesday, filed its chargesheet, a fortnight after the sessions court sought to know the status of the probe into the case, after the Bombay High Court transferred it to them last year.
However, details of the chargesheet reported in a tabloid, may strengthen the abetment to suicide case against Sooraj Pancholi, who was her then boyfriend.
According to the tabloid report, the CBI chargesheet contains some gruesome details about Jiah Khan’s pregnancy and the subsequent abortion. The report quotes sources as saying that the Nishabd actress was four weeks pregnant when the couple decided to abort. The Medical Termination of Pregnancy, however, was not fruitful. Then Sooraj and Jiah reportedly consulted a gynaecologist whose stronger medicines aborted the foetus, but Jiah started haemorrhaging. Fearing a possible damage to his yet to begin career, Sooraj reportedly did not take her to hospital and preferred to get rid of the foetus in a ghastly way.
