The Pakistani Army resorted to 'unprovoked' ceasefire violations at multiple locations along the line of control in Poonch sector on Thursday. Hitting back, the Indian troops too gave them a befitting reply.
Unconfirmed reports from across the line control suggested several Pakistani troops were hurt in retaliatory firing while several military structures were also flattened.
In Jammu Defence PRO Lt Col Devender Anand said, “ Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by firing with small arms & shelling with mortars along LoC in many locations on Thursday”.
He said, Pakistani troops first resorted to ceasefire violation at about 5.30 a.m in Mankote sector. The second incident was reported at about 11.45 a.m in Degwar sector & the third time at about 12. 15 p.m in Mendhar sector of district Poonch”. At all the locations the Indian Army retaliated befittingly, he addd.
Meanwhile, the Indian troops have been keeping a tight vigil to fail the nefarious designs of the Pakistan army which is desperately trying to send across heavily armed infiltrators inside the Indian territory.
